4ª International Writing Conference, Writing Research across Borders II.
Continuing the success of the three previous international research conferences held at the University of California, Santa Barbara, the 2011 Writing Research Across Borders II will be held at George Mason University in the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area. As in past years, this conference will focus on writing development across the lifespan, including the impact of new technologies on learning to write, early acquisition of writing, writing across grade levels (K-20), writing in the disciplines and professions, and writing in the workplace or other community and institutional settings. Call for PapersDeadline February 14As with the previous Writing Research Across Borders Conference which resulted in the volume Traditions of Writing Research (Routledge 2009), we are planning for a volume of selected papers to come from the February 2011 conference, tentatively titled New Directions in International Writing Research. This will NOT be a Proceedings, but will be a fully refereed volume of full papers based on a small selection of the many papers that will be delivered here.
