The Registration for the eLE-UK Encuentro 2015 is now open to until the June 5th, 2015. Registration fee, which includes lunch and refreshments, is as follows:

Where? The eLE-UK Encuentro 2015 will take place at the University of Nottingham, Sir Clive Granger Building, School of Geography-School of Economics.

Call for a papers or workshops
If you teach Spanish in Higher and Adult Education in the UK, you are cordially invited to offer a paper or workshop presentation at eLE-UK Encuentro 2015 .
Proposals for individual submissions that advance the understanding of theoretical frameworks and current practices in any aspect of Spanish Language Teaching (SFL, SSL, SPP, etc.) are welcomed in either of the following formats:
- Showcase of innovative teaching practices
- Research Papers
If you wish to offer a research paper or showcase an innovative teaching practice -lasting no more than 20 minutes- please send to eleukassociation@gmail.com by April 23rd, 2015:
- an abstract of your proposal (200 words max, Word file) together with a short bio data
- The title of your e-mail should include: Encuentro 2015 + your name
Enquiries concerning papers and topics are welcome before the deadline. An email of acceptance will be sent to selected proposal entries only. The selection of papers and teaching practices will be made by the Interim Executive Committee; their decision will be final.

The eLE-UK Encuentro 2015 is open to all teachers of Spanish working in Higher and Adult Education in the UK. The aims of this eLE-UK Encuentro 2015 are, among others:- To create a forum where teachers can exchange experiences, knowledge and materials.- To foster communication and encourage collaboration between teachers and institutions.The Encuentro offers you the opportunity to attend talks and participate in workshops that will feature speakers from Higher and Adult Education in the UK and Spain. Highlights include keynote talks from Dr. Ernesto Martin Peris, co-ordinator of the MA for Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) in the University of Barcelona and well-known author of numerous textbooks, who will talk about the new perspectives on the role of vocabulary in SFL teaching and learning. In the afternoon, Dr. Jane Woodin, currently director of MA Studies for the School of Languages and Cultures at the University of Sheffield, will explore the issue of intercultural competence and its implications for the Native Speaker Model.The Encuentro will close with a networking wine reception where you will have further opportunities to meet speakers and workshop leaders.Spanish and British publishers will be present to display their new materials.Plazo de envío de propuestas: hasta el 23 de abril de 2015Notificación de contribuciones aceptadas: 2 de mayo de 2015
